congrats to council staff

Seems our council staff did a great job advising the community of the cancelled Australia Day program… sad when you know it takes a full year of planning for each of these events and you just can’t pop it all on another day. I drove past yesterday afternoon to see very few people wandering around and even  fewer of the hopeful events sitting idly as the weather couldn’t’ decide what to do… alas my only hope is they (LCC) had  event weather insurance…these programs are costly to host so the insurance might be a very welcome inclusion under the circumstances. Let us hope our luck is better for the outdoor cinema’s set for February or March this year…fingers crossed 😉
