Chinese New Year…

I was just telling my daughter that as we are in ‘the Asian Century” we can embrace so much of what is happening around us. We live is such an amazing society, lots of different cultures coming to gether as one and yet maintaining our unique cultural differences.

so to all…..

Gōng xǐ fā cái! Xīn nián kuài lè! (Happy New Year-  congratulations and be prosperous!” phonetic Mandarin 😉 ) and we really ought to keep up: Dragon, Water (Yang).

Chú jiù bù xīn. (“Replace the old with the new.”)

Thanks to Inga for sharing the translation…and if by chance it is incorrect it’s not my fault its hers LOL (pls let it be nice even if it is incorrect 😉

Gong Xi Fat Choi to you too!

My daughter knows no Chinese – I had to settle for the internet. 😀

  2. Ray Van says:

    Gelukkig nieuw jaar!
This could have been what we’d be speaking now had the Dutch settled Australia.
